Tiny Foundation is a project that seeks to recognize people doing wonderful and worthy things through the giving of small surprise grants.
We give an unspecified number (usually 6-12) of $50 grants each year. The grants are $50 because this feels like kind of a lot to us, manageable but still something special.
You cannot apply for a Tiny Foundation grant. They appear out of the blue.
Tiny Foundation grants are awarded on a wholly personal and subjective basis.
Former recipients of the Nobel Prize, Pulitzer Prize, National Book Award, MacArthur Genius Award, Guggenheim Fellowship, Grammy, Oscar, Penn-Faulkner Award, Fulbright Scholarship, Lannan Foundation Residency, Pritzker Price, Royal Society Fellowship, Booker Prize, Rhoades Scholarship will not be considered. You have already had your award.
